I wanted to show you some shocking results of high search engine rankings for one of my sites. This site is ranking between the 1st and 3rd in Google, Yahoo and Bing for my main keyword and most of my other keywords that I’m targeting are all in the top 10 as well.

Before I show you the results, I also want to mention that this site hasn’t been updated since May 20th, 2009 (over a year ago) I do plan on making some changes when I get a chance. It’s primary income is from Google Adsense.

In the first screen shot below, you’ll see the google results from my primary keyword phrase “product development strategies” where as of today I’m currently ranked #1 out of 14,100,000 results.

By the way I’m not trying to brag about this, I was shocked myself when I seen how good I was ranking. The ultimate goal in this post is to provide you with some of the tips to getting this type of ranking. But before we get into that I want to show you 2 more screen shots my Market Samurai (this is more shocking then the above screen shot)

The first image is using the competition module in Market Samurai for my keyword phrase showing the top 10 results.

In the screen shot below, you’ll see my website (#3) and wikipedia (#4), just look at all the ways their kicking my but using offpage seo (backlinks, domain age, page rank, listed in directories and links from .gov or .edu sites and yet my site still out ranks them and a whole bunch of other authority sites.

Not bad eh… love to hear what you have to think about this.

Now on to the tips of how I actually accomplished this.

High Search Engine Ranking Optimization Tips

#1 – Register the exact keyword phrase .com (I have also seen and heard from others getting similar results using .org, .net and even .info however the problem with .info is the resell value is much lower because in the past people bought tons of .info domains when setting up crap (spammy) sites, ultimately giving the .info a bad rep.

#2 – Your main keyword phrase in the title of the page

#3 – Your main keyword phrase in the description of the page

#4 – Your main keyword phrase in the header tags (H1, H2, H3, etc) of the page

#5 – Your main keyword phrase in the meta keywords of the page

#6 – When adding related images on your site, make sure to name the image file using your keyword (keyword.jpg) and also in the alternate text (alt tag)

#7 – Include your keyword phrase a few times in your posts – content of your site

#8 – Link your keyword phrase from your content back to your site (once or twice at the most)

#9 – Add keyword phrase as a category and in your tags

#10 – The last thing I will mention will be getting backlinks from other websites. This could include blog comments, forum posts – signature, article marketing, videos, social bookmarking and many other ways.
